Single Game Reserved Seats Sold Out for Strikers Home Opener on April 9th

The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced today that there is limited reserved seating available for the home opener April 9th against FC Edmonton. Due to the high demand for tickets, the few remaining reserved seats will only be available on a season ticket purchase basis.

"Our entire staff has worked extremely hard to accomplish the goal of selling out our North side reserved seating area for the home opener. The response from the community regarding both season ticket and home opener sales has been tremendous. We’re looking forward to seeing an excellent turnout on April 9th for the rebirth of the Strikers franchise," said club President Tim Robbie.

Although reserved seats are no longer available for the home opener, general admission seats are still available at $10 for adults and $7 for youth. General admission tickets can be reserved by calling 954-606-0400 or by going online at Strikers.com.

The Strikers will also be holding a group leader ticket award contest in conjunction with the team’s owner, Traffic Sports. The lucky winner of the contest will win a trip to this summer ‘s world famous Copa America Tournament Final in Buenos Aires Argentina. To enter the contest, group leaders must reserve 20 or more Strikers tickets and with every 20 tickets sold they will be awarded one lottery ticket. The drawing for the lottery ticket will be held during halftime of the Strikers’ home match against Montreal on May 28th. Strikers Sign Midfielder Otte GK Lamarre

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (MARCH 28, 2011) – The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced today that they have signed Midfielder Patrick Otte and Goalkeeper Phillip Lamarre. Per team policy, details of the contracts were not disclosed.

"Pat is an exciting, attacking player. He can help us in the midfield or up top," said Head Coach Daryl Shore. "We are happy to add Phil to close out what we feel is an exciting group, all of whom will compete for the number one spot."

Otte, 19, was a member of the United States U-18 Men’s National Team. The 5'8" midfielder from Thousand Oaks, California spent time at England's Middlesborough Academy. He also played most recently with the Ventura County Fusion in California.

Lamarre, 23, is a native of Margate, Florida and played college soccer at Florida Atlantic University, before transferring to Florida International University his senior year.  In his junior year at FAU, Lamarre held the school record for most shutouts, most saves, and most wins. He started his professional career in 2010 when he signed with FC Tampa Bay.
