2013: Paulo Araújo Júnior returned to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on August 8, 2013, putting pen-to-paper on a contract with his former club.
Paulo Jr. made his first appearance in 2013 on August 17th in San Antonio. He assisted on the winning goal on October 5th against Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Paulo Jr. finished the season with 8 starts in 12 appearances, recording one assist.
2012: Paulo Jr. re-joined the Strikers on loan from MLS side Real Salt Lake for a three-match spell in July. He scored one goal and tallied an assist in three starts for Fort Lauderdale.
Professional: Paulo Jr. started his professional career in his native Brazil with Ituano Futebol Clube in 2008. He joined Miami FC (now the Fort Lauderdale Strikers) for the 2009 USL season. He scored his first career professional goal on June 20, 2009, for Miami FC against Cleveland City Stars.
The 2010 season was a breakthrough year for Paulo Jr. The Brazilian recorded eight league goals and four in the Open Cup for Miami FC. He was named to the USSF D-2 Pro League Best XI.
Paulo Jr. came off the bench and scored four goals—an Open Cup record—in less than ten overtime minutes against the Central Florida Kraze (now Orlando City U23s) in a 5-1 Miami FC victory in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup First Round.
