2013: On November 19, 2012 the Strikers announced that Restrepo would be returning for a third season with the club.

Restrepo made his return from the ACL injury suffered last August in the first match of the 2013 season, replacing Rubens to rapturous applause in the 65th minute of the 1-1 draw with FC Edmonton on April 6th.

Restrepo scored his first goal of the season in the 2-1 defeat to rivals Tampa Bay Rowdies on April 27th at Lockhart Stadium.

2012: Restrepo’s fantastic debut campaign with the Strikers was rewarded when his option was picked up in December of 2011. His success with the Srikers earned him a trail with the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer during the early stages of preseason. The dynamic midfielder switched to the number 10 jersey to coincide with his importance to the team.

Restrepo carried his form from the end of the 2011 season with him into the start of the 2012 season. The Strikers' playmaker registered both assists in the 2-2 draw with the San Antonio Scorpions on April 21st, and contributed another four days later in the Strikers' 3-2 victory against the Puerto Rico Islanders.

Restrepo scored his first goal of the season on April 28th against the Tampa Bay Rowdies, heading in a cross from Abe Thompson. Restrepo's good form continued with another goal and an assist to help the Strikers draw 3-3 with the Carolina RailHawks.

On August 15, Restrepo was forced to miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL during training. Despite the injury, he finished the season with a league-high eight assists.

Restrepo started 21 of 23 matches in all competitions, scoring seven goals and nine assists. He was one of just two unanimous selections to the 2013 NASL Best XI.

2011: Restrepo signed with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on July 11, 2011, midway through the 2011 NASL season.

He made his debut at Lockhart Stadium in the 3-0 win against FC Edmonton. The following week Wálter Restrepo announced his arrival in South Florida in sensational fashion, scoring from over 30 yards against league-leaders Carolina in a dramatic 2-1 victory.

Restrepo made appearances in a total of 12 matches for the Strikers in 2011, scoring two goals and contributing with one assist.

Professional: Played professionally with several teams in Colombia before returning to the United States, his country of birth. Restrepo was on the books with Deportes Tolima,  Boyacá Chicó, and Express Rojo, appearing in both the Categoría Primera A and the Categoría Primera B between 2006 and 2010.

International: Capped by Colombia at the U-17 level.

Personal: Born in San Diego, California to Colombian parents.
