Fort Lauderdale, Florida (December 9, 2010) - Miami FC announced today that is has come to terms with Playbook Management International (PMI) for the 2011 season. With this agreement, PMI and Miami FC plan to use all their resources to create a tradition, culture and fan-fare worthy of the Strikers’ name.
“We are focused on bringing back the Strikers in a meaningful way which connects with the original Strikers fans - Striker Likers - and the soon-to-be Striker Likers,” said Aaron Davidson, President of the team. “ Our partnership with PMI which is led by Michael Hitchcock who has been so successful in building fan bases for several MLS clubs and other sports is one of the first critical steps in working towards a successful launch of the Strikers in the NASL on April 9, 2011.”
Playbook Management International focuses on creating awareness for professional sports franchises as well as increasing ticket marketing with specific promotional components, such as season ticket packages and other benefits for loyal fans. PMI has served several significant sports franchises, such as the FC Tampa Bay Rowdies, another club in the North American Soccer League (NASL) and the Hartford Colonials of the UFL.
Miami FC’s partnership with PMI will be led by Michael Hitchcock, managing partner of PMI, who will work closely with Miami FC’s commercial director Tommy Knapp to oversee the development of Miami FC’s sales and customer outreach program.

Hitchcock previously worked for Major League Soccer (MLS) for more than 12 years, including the position of sales director for the Los Angeles Galaxy. He also served as General Manager of FC Dallas and Pizza Hut Park. During his tenure at FC Dallas, Hitchcock brought in more than 1.5 million guests to Pizza Hut Park per year and created the FC Dallas Foundation, which benefits the community and the advancement of disadvantaged youth through soccer. Throughout his MLS career, Hitchcock received numerous awards including the 2009 Frisco Chairman’s Award, MLS Sales Director of the Year four times and Commissioner’s New Business Leadership Award.
Joining Miami FC along with Michael Hitchcock will be the club’s newest Senior Account Executive, Evan Mitz. Mitz previously worked for FC Dallas as account executive and inside sales representative from 2006 to 2009. As account executive, Mitz was responsible for generating more than $1.8 million through the Sales Leadership Team and the Brand Management Strategy Team. Mitz was also recognized as a Top 10 Representative in MLS Group Sales, New Season Seat Sales and Revenue Production in 2007 and 2008. In 2006, as inside sales representative, Mitz was responsible for generating more than $203,000 in sales revenue, producing the most revenue by a sales representative in his first year with FC Dallas.

With the promotion of becoming the team historian, Scorca is responsible for tracking all of the players¹ stats, as well as club stats and club history. Aside from his statistical responsibility, Scorca will be contributing a weekly blog on the club site.
Scorca, 53, has been dedicated to following south Florida soccer for the past several decades from the Honduran national team to all the professional teams and even youth teams in the area. With impressive knowledge of the game and providing great insight in tracking players¹ careers, he has provided the community in the past with written blogs and columns that will help Strikers fans track their favorite team even closer now.
"Robert's unparalleled passion and knowledge of South Florida soccer history and that of Fort Lauderdale's Lockhart Stadium, the home of the Strikers make
him a natural for this position," stated NASL Communications Director Kartik Krishnaiyer, who has known Scorca for years.
Scorca begins his new role as club historian immediately.
